A Scientometric Review of Smart Construction Site in Construction Engineering and Management: Analysis and Visualization

With the extensive development and application of information technologies in construction engineering management (CEM), site is experiencing a rapid digital revolution transformation. Since smart has become current research trend one most hot topics, thus this study adopted an integrated bibliometric approach quantitative analysis to explore global on site. As it indicated content, scientometric method-based literature review was carried out study. To be specific, co-citation terms author, document, journal; collaboration authorship, institutions, country/region; category analysis, as well cluster burst were conducted based 2206 peer-reviewed academic papers, which published from January 2000 February 2021. It found that there been explosion relevant publications especially past 10 years along with changing keywords flexibility technologies, 3D reconstruction, IoT virtual reality, others. Moreover, results collaborations cooperation among different countries, authors are not close enough, significant occurred primarily USA, China, England. Additionally, site’s publication quantity doubled every five years. In addition, gradually changed traditional project performance associated indicators simulation applications scenes. Lastly, implementation management-related concerns about sites discussed seven topics. This provides researchers practitioners merely in-depth understanding characters also field.
